Falklands Yomp November 2012

This year marks the 30 year anniversary of the 1982 Falkland Islands Conflict.

To mark the occasion, we are recreating the iconic ‘yomp’, or ‘tab’ as the British Army refer to it, to follow in the footsteps of 45 Commando and 3 Para as they fought their way across the remote wilderness of East Falkland during the liberation of the islands in June 1982.

This is a not-for-profit endeavour and we are recruiting a small group of committed participants to recreate the yomp and to help us raise funds and awareness for three highly respected charities:

combat stress   help for heroes
      Combat Stress                        Help for Heroes

SAMA 82
SAMA 82 (The South Atlantic Medal Association)

It will be a tough challenge but a rewarding experience in a special part of the world and the funds and awareness raised for the three armed services charities will be invaluable.

If you would like to join us in fundraising by taking part in the yomp please call us on 01298 73780 or email us for more details.

Alterntatively, if you can not join us please lend us your support by sponsoring us via our fundraising page with the Charities Trust.
